Mind boggling! Hundreds of ancient whale fossiles strewn across an equally fantastic desert landscape which was once sea. In addition we visited three lakes, two waterfalls, drove 4x4 through the dunes, tried our hand at sand boarding (...) and shared a bedouin lunch. This trip to Fayoum is a great full day excursion, and our knowledgeable guide, Marwa, adapted the trip to our preferences and was great company. Highly recommended!

Mohammed from White Sand was extremely helpful in many ways. He was able to adapt to our specific demands while providing precious advice on how to do things in Egypt. He made our trip with three young kids easier and the drivers and guides from White Sand introduced us to the country in the best way. Alber who was our guide for the pyramids day was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot from him about ancient Egypt. It was also very convenient that he picked us up with a driver directly from our hotel exactly at the time agreed. We loved our driver during the day we visited Cairo. Our day with Alber, our guide and our driver was great. They were right on time at our hotel, Alber is extremely knowledgeable about Egypt ancient history and he was able to recommend the best way to do all the visits. We did this tour with our three young boys and all of us loved it. But this tour was not the best thing provided by white sand. I have to thank Mohammed who took care of us and organised a driver for our arrival in Cairo, a driver for our Cairo visit and one to drive us to Urgada. Mohammed was able to adapt to our specific demands while giving us the best advice on how to do things in a country we didn’t know. Mohammed’s input was precious and saved us lots of time and made the trip with three little kids a lot easier. Our driver in Cairo was also amazing and we appreciated his expert driving and experience of the city. We did a couple of trips with White Sands in Upper Egypt (in addition to the highly recommended Gizeh/Saqqara&Dashur day trip and all airport transfers), and had a fabulous time in the south! It is really worth it to travel beyond Luxor, and to see Aswan and especially Abu Simbel. Abu Simbel is extremely impressive, so if you are wondering whether it is worth the time and money to do the additional trip from Aswan, just do it!! The scenery at the lake is beautiful, and although it is close to Sudan, it is very safe. Instead of a Nile Cruise, we had a transfer from Luxor to Aswan by car, visiting the same sights as with a cruise - but individually, not with the crowds from a big ship. As during our entire stay, the drivers of the White Sands team were very good, friendly, and reliable, and the guides - whether they were English or German speaking - were very knowledgeable, and flexible (which was important because we travelled with our 5 year old son, who also enjoyed our stay in Egypt a lot, but sometimes had different interests than adults admiring archaeological sites...). We didn't book our tours in Luxor with White Sands, and we really regretted it afterwards, because our guide there was less professional, asking for additional money, and pushing us to go to additional places (restaurants, shops, shows...) we were not interested in. So, next time we come to Egypt, we will book all trips with White Sands - and there are so much amazing sights to see that we will come back for sure. Sonja

Auch unsere beiden Führer in der Wüste haben sich rührend um unseren Sohn gekümmert und so lecker gekocht, dass er ausnahmsweise sogar das Gemüse gegessen hat 😊 Rückblickend ist nur schade, dass wir keine Zeit für die längere Tour mit zwei Übernachtungen hatten. We did 5 tours in total with White Sands, in Cairo & Luxor. Our guides & drivers were fantastic all spoke great English & were very knowledgeable. Shaima is a graduate Egyptologist & is an expert on hieroglyphs. Ayman our driver was very funny, friendly & so helpful. He even helped us by getting some shopping for us from a local shop. Nothing was a hassel. They stopped at the best places for photos, explained everything & gave us options on wgat time to start, when to est & recommendations on places to see. Mohammed the sales Manager is very trustworthy & arranges the extra ticket for inside the pyramids, the extra tombs in luxor valley of kings/Queens so you don't have to queue. Really the best part of our holiday were these tours. Hassel free, personal & tailored to us. I would highly recommend White Sands for any tours in Egypt. Fantastic experience & I would definitely use them again!!.

I know Mohammed and his team since 2015 when I worked at the German embassy in Cairo. He was my reliable and friendly companion on trips from and to the airport and beyond. Then I also tried his desert tours with his very friendly, polite and highly competent bedouin Adnan. This is a very nice tour. The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is impressive and beautiful. The view from the Citadel is amazing, and then finish with the market which a really good experience. Highly recommended.
